v1.2.0-rc
Release candidate introducing Live Compiler encryption, Lua obfuscation, and build-pipeline improvements.
Release Candidate
This release is not intended for production use. Behavior, APIs, and internal logic may change before the stable release.
To bootstrap a new FiveM resource with the release candidate:
npm create fivem@rcTo install the release candidate in an existing project:
npm install @whitigol/fivem-compiler@rcFeatures
- Added Live Compiler support.
Improvements
- Integrated Live Compiler support into every builder for automatic encryption during builds.
- Improved the build pipeline to manage encryption and runtime configuration automatically when Live Compiler is enabled.
- Added optional Lua obfuscation as an alternative protection method for Lua resources.
- Simplified development-mode build operations for faster, more reliable development builds.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed builder file-path handling for encrypted files.
- Improved build error handling and messaging.
Notes
- Live Compiler supports Lua, JavaScript, and TypeScript resources.
- Live Compiler provides encryption rather than simple obfuscation.
- JavaScript and TypeScript resources can be protected, addressing the FiveM Escrow system’s Lua-only limitation.
- Live Compiler works with every language supported by FiveM Compiler.
- Live Compiler cannot be combined with FiveM Escrow. Scripts will fail if both are enabled.
- When enabled, all compiled scripts are encrypted automatically.
- When enabled,
fxmanifest.luais configured automatically to use the Live Compiler runtime. - Live Compiler may conflict with Cfx.re Terms of Service for published resources. Private-server use works as expected, but approval for public distribution is not guaranteed.
Enable Live Compiler in the __experimental section of wfm.config.ts or wfm.config.js:
export default defineConfig({
__experimental: {
live_compiler: true,
},
// Rest of your config
});
